Lorina Cuntapay a farmer’s daughter who is willing to pursue her own business by simply learning the process on how to make dishwashing liquids.

PSTC Cagayan in collaboration with the Office of the Vice Governor of Cagayan  trained 60 participants from the different associations of National Irrigation Administration-Solana Pump Irrigation System(NIA-SPIS) namely, Northern Solana Rice Producers, Muhara IA, Solfad IA, and NWSF IA.

Participants were trained on how to formulate Soap, Fabric Conditioner and Perfume.

Participants were also taught on Product Costing to guide them in computing their expenses and on how much they are going to sell their product. Raw materials used and its current price were also discussed.

 “Layunin po ng Probinsya ng Cagayan ang makapagbigay ng ganitong proyekto. Lalo pa’t nariyan ang DOST na lagging sumusuporta sa ating mga programa at lubos akong nagpapasalamat,” Vice Governor said to his speech.

At the end of the training, many of the participants expressed their interest in doing the business as they are already planning on how to purchase the raw materials.
